Grey Matters

AG Jeans Sadie Panel Tank || Gap Always Skinny Jeans (my favorite cut!) || Jack Rogers Georgica Jelly (an old color, but loving these on sale!) || Straw Stripe Tote (similar - and here's a bargain and a splurge, but come onnnn it's so cute!)
This grey (gray? What do you think?) tank as the newest addition to my wardrobe.  I have a love/hate relationship with tanks, but I've appreciated the flowiness of this shirt and the soft but textured fabric.

This is actually the only piece of summer clothing I've bought so far this summer, besides those Lilly for Target purchases, and I'm trying to keep it that way for as long as I can.  I've been trying to learn how to appreciate what I hate and make it work, you know?  (Also, it doesn't hurt that it's been unseasonably cool in Ohio the past week - I've been digging into my "fall clothes" piles nonstop! Summer, where are you?!)

How do you guys balance the constant pull of more clothes and learn to be content with what you have?  I could totally use your advice!  And have you ever heard of capsule wardrobes?  One of my friends is totally into them.  Sound off in the comments below!  Woo hoo!

& Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  I'll be absent until Tuesday, but I promise to be back bright and early!
xoxo

  1. You look great! I think one of the keys of staying content with what you have in your closet it re-think how you can wear them. Switching things up can make it feel like new! You can also have a friend look through your closet with you to pair things together- having a fresh perspective on your things can help you see something you may have overlooked! Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. That striped bag is perfect! I also love the touch of color in your sandals, are they super comfortable? I've been looking for a pair that I can wear on long walks but to no avail. Great post by the way! :)

  3. Thanks Stephanie! I think that JR's Georgica Jellies are by far the most comfortable shoes they've produced. I've walked all over campus in them, and they're way more comfortable than the classic Navajo and the Lauren in my opinion. For a bargain, I normally buy mine from Amazon, or the blue pair I linked to above is on sale for under $40!

Let me know if you take the dive!

  4. I wish I could not shop. I constantly feel like I need more clothes to post since I post outfits basically 5 days a week plus instagram shots of other outfits so I feel like I'm running out of clothes ALL of the time. A good thing to do is have an instagram closet and sell the clothes you don't wear there and then use that money to buy some new stuff! Hehe :)
